How Do I Dismiss a Texas Traffic Ticket

  1. Make sure that you are eligible to have you ticket dismissed. You should check with the court in the Texas county in which your ticket was issued. You are not eligible for ticket dismissal in Texas if:
    1. You have a CDL (Commercial Drivers License)
    2. Have dismissed a different ticket within the past year
    3. Plead “not guilty”
    4. Were ticketed driving 25 mph or more over the posted speed limit
  2. Sign up for Texas’ Approved Defensive Driving School. Enter all correct and accurate information – This information will later be sent to the courts for dismissal.
  3. Order your Texas Certified Driving Records. Texas courts now require your to send your driving record along with your certificate of completion. We will mail you your driving record.
  4. Begin the Approved Texas Defensive Driving Course at your leisure and convenience. The course is accessible on any devise with internet access. You can take your time and complete the course at your pace. We provide customer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will have a total of 90 days to complete the course.
  5. Once you have completed the Texas Driving Course, you will receive your Certificate of Completion in the mail. We process the certificate the same day you complete the course, and will mail it to the address you signed up with.
  6. Deliver your certificate and your driving record to the county court. You will want to check with the Texas county court on the proper procedure. Your ticket will be dismissed!
